Welcome Home Baskets
Our
Community Outreach Ministry is working with the Fort Smith Housing Authority to
make sure tenants are welcomed into their new homes with a “Welcome Home
Basket” filled with goodies and love from First Christian Church.
Some of
the items we’re asking members to donate to fill these baskets are: Dish
towels, Soap (bar or liquid), Toothbrushes (adult or kids), Toothpaste, Dish
soap, Individually wrapped toilet paper or paper towels, Body lotion or
Chapstick, Kleenex, Playing cards, Travel-sized games, Picture frames, Pot
holders, Dishtowels, Microwave popcorn, Lemonade or Kool-aide (non-sugar).
We’d like to have everything collected by early December if possible so we can have the “Welcome Home” baskets to these families before the Christmas holiday. These donations are items we all use everyday and so will these families. Your kindness is a blessing.
