Lance McReynolds Takes Staff Position

In last Sunday evening's meeting, the board confirmed Lance McReynolds as our Director of Christian Education and Youth. A recommendation was received from the Search Committee along with prior support from personnel committee and the elders.

Lance's educational background includes a degree in sociology from University of Oklahoma . His professional training and volunteerism has included work with the Boy Scouts and PTA, rising to the position of Vice-President of Arkansas State PTA. Lance comes to the position with a passion for working with children/youth. Lance will begin his duties on February 1 and have space in the church office approximately 25 hours per week. His primary duties will, of course, be in the areas of Christian Education and Youth.

Most of you know Lance and his family already. He has chaired Christian Education Ministry for the past two years. Lance and his wife, Judy, currently teach the fourth/fifth grade Sunday school class in addition to being Chi Rho sponsors. Judy is employed at ABF and their two sons, John ny and Brett, are students at Cook Elementary.

We look forward to having Lance a part of the staff of FCC. Remember Lance in your prayerful support of your church and its leaders.
